Developing a Timeline for Your CEO Evaluation

It’s important to develop a clear timeline to complete all the steps on time. Some tips to help you:

  • Map backwards from the date that you would like to have everything completed.
  • Use the checklist included in the CEO Evaluation Process workflow to schedule the steps. The dates can be modified if needed using the calendar icon.

  • Share the draft timeline with the full board and the CEO and get them to commit to completing their action steps on time.
  • Once the CEO has completed their self-evaluation, you can invite the other members to complete their surveys. You can send reminders right from BoardOnTrack. 
  • If you want to map out more detail than the checklist on this tab, you can use the Board Goals Tracker tab to create more detailed action steps and assign specific tasks to individual trustees or staff members.
